Broke a long running tradition and Went up to Carlos Tx yesterday to Yankees Tavern and motorcycle hangout. Got to show off the nickel trick to some BMW riders who were amazed...ha.   While there I met a 74 yr old man who had ridden in on a 1971 BSA.  Got to talking and reminising and found out his name was Robert Hunziker who back in the early 70’s at the age of 19 started Hunziker Motorcycle shop on Longpoint over in Spring Branch area of Houston.    We talked for a long time about the old Houston dealerships such as Stelzigs Harley Davidson down on Dallas st in downtown Houston, Bruce Bristol BSA on the Gulf Fwy along with W and W Triumph on the Gulf Fwy and Nortwest Honda.   He knew all the old dealership owners.    We talked about a lot of old motorcycle trips and stories and people of the past.   Oh.... I left out the House of Wheels owned by Jim Rich on Shepard.  Really enjoyed our talk.   Nice guy.   Says he still has 19 mototcycles in his garage... mostly vintage.   Hope to see him again.   The man has a lot of motorcycle history in his head.

wow talk about taking a trip back In time.  My first bike was a honda cub 50cc bought at Bruce Bristol honda triumph Norton and Bsa,  Also bought a 1981 Suzuki gs850g from Hunziker cycles from an incredibly lucky blackjack session in las vegas paid cash from my winnings those were the days.

My Valk came from Gene Brady that owned Pasadena Honda and had a huge hand in the creation of The Ride For Kids.  Lunsford and the other dealer owners used to ride on the weekends all of the time.  
My brother bought his '97 red & white then his '99 Interstate, which is now ole Blue that I have put 140k of my own miles onto it.

Just turned 165k on this last trip to Inzane.  Still running good.
