Went on a ride to Maggie Valley a week ago with 10 other guys (I was only Valk), and noticed at our last stop on the first day I had no right side foot peg.  Now we did ride a lot of roads where scraping was an issue, but I am not a big time leaner so I was surprised.  Screws must vibrated out, even though there is very little vibration.

Road the next three days including the Tail of the Dragon, Back of the Dragon, the Snake and a twisty SR 28 with nothing but the stub that the foot pad cover attaches too.  Not really and issue.

BTW, one of the guys had a Suzukie 109C, and had some kind of special titanium draggers near the pegs or the exhaust.  When he leaned it over, produced a shower of sparks about 12" high and 24-36" long.  Something to see...

Cost to replace with tax and shipping is about $42 with parts from Partzilla.

Anyone else ever lost a footpeg?  I don't remember reading about it on the board.

another not so bright person with the sparking foot pegs. does he/she want to start a forest fire?
He/she should get a ticket.
The U.S. Forest Service stated that motorists are responsible for many wildfires sparked along roadways, including the 150-square-mile Ferguson Fire.

According to the agency, nearly all of the fires sparked along roadways by vehicles could be prevented with the following vehicle maintenance and safety measures:

• Practice safe towing by securing chains

• Be sure there are no dragging parts on your vehicle

Good point 98 Valk.  I guess we make sparks when we drag, but should not set things up to do it intentionally.

I believe the OEM feeler on the bottom of the peg is a non/low sparking metal.
