we have tires like that on 12,000 pound industrial forklifts, they hold up pretty darn good. but they can really pack the mud in those things.

only real problem i see is up north where it snows, getting snow and ice in them and your car will shake going down the highway from being really out of balance.

I heard about these tires, will all depend on cost and length they last.  If double the cost and same longevity, no real sense in buying IMO.  If just a smidge more in cost and same longevity, why not.  Michelin is one of the leaders in tires and am sure they have done their research before putting out an inferior product or one would hope.

I hope they are a better product than current "run-flat" tires.
Michelin run-flats on a Cadillac I bought last year are the harshest ride I've ever experienced. (I changed them almost immediately).
My F-350 4x4 with BFG All Terrains had a better ride.

I would think the ride would be about the same as normal air filled tires with their designed.

As mentioned above, would question also the problem with snow/ice/mud getting in the tires.  That is if they are going to be open as the video shows.  Also since they are sort of solid across where normal tires are open inside, how about problems with mounting on existing rims?

I doubt they would mount on existing rims.  I imagine you would buy/replace an entire wheel-tire assembly.

The "Tweel" has been available on J.D. zero turn mowers for several years now. The commercial mower guys love them because they are never down due to a flat tire. And yes they come tire and wheel as one part. Never seen one worn out yet, so changing isn't an issue. No idea what they would be like on a vehicle, but since they have been working on them since the early 90's they probably have it figured out. The last pre-production ones I saw had an thin exo-skin to keep debris out of the spokes.
