Has anyone used the Tarazon brand brake rotors available on Amazon?

HDL has them for ~190 each, but the Amazon ones are ~170 for the pair.  I'm just leery of an untested brand like that.

these OEM Honda CBR600F4 rotors bolt right on.  OEM spec new is 4.4 - 4.6 mm thk per the CBR manual.
I have a set on my valkyrie. one pound lighter which is good for braking, stops much better.

The CBR600 rotors are similar to the 2001-2013 GL1800 Goldwing rotors, which are also 1/2 lb lighter each than Valk stock, look great, and bolt right on.  And the Goldwing is heavier than the Valk, so no worries about stopping power or fade resistance.  I found a pair of lightly used GL1800 rotors for under $200 on eBay.

My question is (sorry to hijack thread), is there a similarly thinner/lighter rotor for the rear? - mine's the later model (2002).

exactly the same diameter and bolt circle. also 98-01 VFR800 are the same.

EBC lists the rotor fitting other cycles

I'd say find a good used set of the CBR rotors is the way to go. Hard to go wrong with OEM part quality.

My experience with Chinese off-brands has been very mixed. Sometimes you get lucky and they're actually pretty decent, other times they're junk you're binning a month later and then buying the good ones anyway. Hard to tell. Price isn't always a good indicator of quality either. I've had some bargain cheap stuff that was surprisingly decent and some "only a little cheaper than the name brand" parts that were utter shite and went in the garbage quickly.

Rotors are usually a parts-bin item for most manufacturers. Keeps the bill of materials down and saves manufacturing costs. Yamaha's can trade rotors and calipers across cruisers, sportbikes, and decades of time in many cases. I had R1 brakes on my Vmax, direct swap, identical bolt patterns.

Thanks .... the link shows it's applicable to all year Valks, and it works on your '98, but does it also work on an '02 where there's some difference in offset or rotor hub thickness?

I can't answer your question directly, however I can tell you this.

I installed the '03 wheel I got from a trike take-off with that rotor on my '98.  Zero issues with over 10k miles. I tried the '03 wheel with its rotor and the '98 rotor, and the wheel rotated freely with zero interference.
