Hi
Anybody have a steering stem (lower triple) '99 standard I could borrow for  2 - 3 weeks.  (Apparently it's the same for all standards and Tourer models)   I want to use it to match fit new stainless brake lines from Spiegler... I live 10 minute from there. (Dayton) ------ I could get by on less time if needed....
---> Its been very convenient over the years to just show up and work with the guys to get lines built the way I want for my bike projects.
The OEM line have some nice little brackets to hold up the stock lines, and I want to use the same mounting for the SS replacements. Also the lower steering stem has some nice mounting bosses to use.
If it wasnt a bling factor thing, I wouldnt care, I would just zip tie 2 line hoses around the forks for the plumbing.

Mine is already assembled and prefer not to take it apart again, so thats why I am asking to borrow one. Shipping is on me of course...

Whatdya think guys?

Thanks!  Cool

I have an extra triple tree set up. What do you think the cost of brake lines might be? I might want you to have them make me a set while their making yours.

Any chance you could keep the part numbers and dimensions they use and share them with us here?

They have a standard set, but I am not sure of mounting. So yes... I will have them make notes on my OCD setup we come up with and let them understand that there are several other Valk guys that want the same. It will be as close as possible to a drop in stock setup.
I may use the cross over stock steel pipe - depending on how the fittment goes.

--- -I am getting black color line and red fittings.  Standard is clear cover with aluminum fittings.

So color wise you would have to tell them what you want. If you get color its about a 15 dollar hit.

Cost will be around $180ish (guessing so far for me) you may be different by a buck or 2. or 5. (Plz don't take as gospel)
.. If you dont care about copying the exact stock mount, you could do a 2 line setup and that goes around $130ish.

Also I am redoing the rear too. The front OEM hose is still available as new,  so I may just get custom for the back half. TBD to come.

Yeah, I 'm good to go for the moment. I'll keep you in mind if it becomes needed. Thanks
