First pic of the bike, still in Texas about 70 miles South of Austin, with the previous owner, Mike Guarino. All my stuff is packed on the bike ready to leave at 6am the next morning for home.

She was a 2001, seeing stock bags and trunks made me upgrade but wish I had kept her now. Valks are like guns, buy em don't sell em.

I can’t find any pictures, of my interstate when I picked it up. tickedoff. It’s as if my iPad deleted them all.  crazy2. I’ll try looking in my computer next. The site of the red and white tourer on the ramp makes me Cringe. I can imagine it having a happy ending. Good thinking with the strap set up.

When I first showed up here around 2007 with that picture everyone was
sure my kickstand was going to fly off and that my frame was bent but
everything seems OK down there...  cooldude

This is just days after I got the red and white on Valentines day 2002.  The temp plate is still on.

Is that a trailer hitch on the back ? I've not seen that kind before.

That is a sweet ride. I remember the first time I saw that bike at the Bike shed.

Not a trailer hitch. Just similar trim like you see on the front. I had to remove that to put a Hitch Doc on which is what is on there now  cooldude

Here she is.  My 2000 I/S that I bought in 2002.   I still have her and, thanks to SixLow and the rest of the awesome members of the VRCC I just rebuilt the carbs.  I'm getting 34mpg now, the best I have ever gotten.  The first picture is when I got her, the second is when SixLow and I took a ride after the carb rebuild! Mine is the one on the left.  Yes, behind the photobucket logo....

Installed windshield, Mustang seats, tank bib, spot lights, and Cobra pipes...still with original temporary tags January, 2000.

I loaded up the accessories in the first few weeks I owned my “0” mile leftover ‘99.  It sat on the showroom floor for about six months.  I was taking my Suzuki 1400 intruder in for warranty service and the bike fascinated me....had to buy it.  Sold my 6 month old Intruder.

I joined the VOAi and rode it to the second Montrose rally.  It had 600 miles on it when I got to the gathering.  Met Mountainman the artist and his wife Shirley at the rally and had him pinstripe the bike and add a graphic to the front fender.  He has since done four graphics sessions (Montrose, InZane I, Sturgis, and the last Honda Hoot in 2007).
