I had done this ride on Columbus Day weekend and also the weekend after

Since the colors have been coming later I am thinking of doing the ride on October 18 to 20 as the colors should be brighter

Pretty sure JimC has made a reservation Columbus weekend to camp at Croton Point so I am fine with doing a some nice rides that weekend for him and his spouse and any other rider along with him and doing the Group ride the following weekend.  (One day to Delaware water gap and one day up into the northern Catskills with many new roads.

Please let me know if you would like to come out and do this ride and which weekend works for you the best

I'm in, more likely that not. However, Oct 21 is our 30th anniversary and we might be spending it on Nantucket....I'll have to discuss it with my bride.

Since JimC has told me he is going for the operation and is out for the prior week anyway, I am calling the hotel to lay out a block of rooms October 18-20

I plan a Friday and Saturday ride.  Sunday we will see who is around for route etc.

Scouting ride will be in September for local Valkyrie riders like DGS65 or G-man

Start is right here in front of my house which is right off the intersection of State Rt 9A and Chappaqua Rd
13 Tappan Terrace Briarcliff Manor NY

The hotel has always been LaQuinta which was the cheapest rate for a safe hotel
Still trying to lock down the group rate if 10 rooms get booked. Last year they honored the rate even tho we only had 6 rooms for out of towners.  Gas station across from hotel or at intersection of North State Rd and 9A,  must have full tank, empty bladder (why we leave from here) when we leave ! With all of us getting longer in the tooth bathroom is important lol

THIS IS NOT A NYC ride but you can go on your own before or after.

Rides will be to Delaware Water Gap (Hawk's Nest) into the southern Catskills
and the big ride will go up 40/55 in the eastern Catskills by Slade Mtn but not as far north as Hunter Mountain

PM me Jdp
