Has anyone tried to put a 200 tire on the rear to replace the 180? Our options are so limited I was hoping to try Metzelers.

I had an Avon 190/60R17 on the back. Had to angle it in. The plastic cover by the left muffler mount gets in the way. Between that and the lug bolts. Carefull not to scratch the face of wheel.
A 200 might fit but a little tough to get in and out.

Thanks guys. I ordered a 180/60/17 Metzeler 888. I was told at the dealership that guys substitute that all the time.

Could not understand why the Michelin wore out so fast until I found out they were made for sport bikes and not a 700 lb cruiser.

The longest lasting rear tire I've had so far on mine is "Michelin PR4 gt" ... what kind of
Michelin did you try?

Michelin Pilot. Got about 3K and it could go longer, but I was really surprised at the wear. It could go another 3K probably. But it has a leak and I already plugged it once and the bike needs a front tire, too soooo-- now would be a good time to switch back to Mezs. I have run them on a lot of cruisers in the past. I am not a performance guy--even though this bike is. In the past I have easily gotten over 10K on the rear with my style of riding and was really bummed when I could not find the correct size.

Next time, try the new Pirelli Angel GT II 120/19 front and 180 rear ( the rear ils designed for heavy bikes), best tire I’ve experienced on my Valk (115 000 km). I usually keep the rear tire 20-25 000 km and I guess these will last that long  cooldude
