Far North Chicago Burbs'

« on: July 16, 2019, 02:56:08 PM »

Just got back from a 600mi ride in rural WI..  Awesome views...beautiful out there on the western side...mountains...valley, pastures...NO CARS...tricky switch backs..

But the only thing that sucked was that seat...I need to get a different one.

I'd like a seat that is far more comfortable, without adding much height..and that I can use the stock OEM passenger backrest.

Any suggestions.

Thanks!

Russell Day-Long... it was around $600 for them to do just the front...

+1 on the Russell seat.  I have never regretted spending the money and I bought mine when our Canadian dollar sucked real bad.

Well , geez  , I have a seat  custom  made by Bill Mayer Saddles   for long rides  , fits a  2014 Valk

Here's the link  to the thread  http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,106662.0.html

I had a RDL on my Valk   , never got used to it  .  I got used to the BMS   rather quickly
Besides , all seat makers tell you  break in  takes 2500 miles  or so , well ,   us humans acclimate  to most anything  , unless it's really  bad , like OEM seats on our Valks
The BMS seat was better than the Russell   , looks better

RDL all day long. tried air hawk a little better. Well worth 1300.00$ for RDL to do both seats, and both back rest. Used to be after an hour on bike with stock seat my wife and I were ready to call it quits. Now 3 hrs of riding never felt so good. Everything about the seat is quality craftsmanship, it is expensive but a great investment.

Little late to the post but I love my Corbin for many reasons.
