Dear friends

I just saw this and couldn't stop laughing:
https://www.advpulse.com/adv-videos/off-roading-goldwings-a-bad-idea-these-guys-say-youre-wrong

The 2 riders got a FB page:
https://www.facebook.com/Dos-Honduros-459171931499686/

I will let the images (and video) speak for themselves.

As a former motocrosser and dirt bike guy, it is my observation that just because you can make something work doesn't mean you should make it work.

I could probably blast my interstate down those trails if I had to.  But I don't have to (or want to).

My old dad always told me use the right tool for the right job.  Words to live by.

Now, it you have a nice old Goldwing you'll loan me to go trailing.... I'm all in.   Grin

Oh, but they do have the proper bikes for the hard trails.

Check what they carry in the saddle:

I've posted about this gentleman a few times on this forum, but this seems like a  good place to post about him again.....

How about a Valkyrie to Mount Everest Base Camp?

And a whole bunch of other places you really shouldn't take an 800 pound cruiser, but he did it anyway...

There was a railroad crossing near the old house that I would catch air at anything over 45 MPH. I have launched every bike I've owned in the last 20 years over that track. I have not owned anything but heavy road bikes in that time frame.

When the ISDT came to western mass in the 70's, I rember watching big German dudes on BMWs .

I think they were 650 cc opposed

I thought it was nuts, when everyone else was on single 175 to 450 or so.

But they were awesome on them.

These guys are having a blast, but one wrong rock hit and over the side, couple hundred feet down.
