He says he's trying to turn MN red.  Good luck with that!

Also he's been working on detoxing drug addicts.  I might have to buy a pillow. Good read:

I like the man. As a former drug addict he does a lot for those trying to recover. He is a real American success story and its nice to see what he is trying to do. I have some very good friends from MN and none are blue. That state has quite a history of liberal/progressive politicians and it would be nice to see it change. If I were able, I'd certainly vote for him. He is an ardent Trump supporter.

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has filed an ethics complaint with the  U.S. House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics against Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar over numerous allegations of fraud and repeated criminal action.

"Substantial, compelling and, to date, unrefuted evidence has been uncovered that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have committed the following crimes in violation of both federal law and Minnesota state law: perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton wrote in a letter to Congressional Ethics Chairman David Skaggs. "Such violations would also breach the Code of Ethics for Government Service, to which all federal officeholders are subject, “Any person in Government service should uphold the Constitution, laws, and legal regulations of the United States and all governments therein and never be a party to their evasion.") Rep. Omar actions in this suspected immigration fraud, marriage fraud, perjurious statements on her Minnesota divorce filings, and falsifications on her tax returns, merit your immediate investigation."

I may finally buy that MyPillow yet. BTW, if anyone is thinking the same, apparently, the ones in retail stores aren't the same as you get buying direct, at least so I've read. Buy directly from the website.

Good !  I hope she is investigated, prosecuted, and, quickly.

However, anyone wishing that will be branded a racist.

https://www.focusonthefamily.com/socialissues/life-issues/my-pillow-founder-donates-1-million-to-pro-life-film

Michael Lindell is known for selling a pillow, My Pillow to be exact, and it was recently announced that he donated $1 million dollars for a new pro-life film, Unplanned.

The film centers on former Planned Parenthood manager Abby Johnson, the author of the book also named Unplanned. It follows her journey as she goes from abortion supporter to pro-life activist. He also has a cameo in the film, bulldozing a former Planned Parenthood site in order to make way for the headquarters of a pro-life movement called 40 Days for Life.

"I'm pro-life and I'm happy to do it," Lindell told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview. "I don't get into things for the money—I get into them if the message is right."

A conservative Christian, Michael Lindell has used his fortune to help pro-life and Christian causes. He's donated to another film, Church People, which is a Christian comedy starring Stephen Baldwin, and is also producing a film based on his own story as former drug and alcohol addict.

Lindell struggled for several years with addictions to cocaine, crack cocaine and alcohol that cost him his marriage, his house and almost his business. But God had bigger plans.

On January 16, 2009 Lindell hit rock bottom. "I had one prayer that night," he said in a CNBC interview. "God, I want to wake up in the morning and never have that desire (for crack cocaine) again." That was the beginning of his journey towards sobriety.

Since then, My Pillow has taken off with the help of infomercials and what Lindell says is divine intervention. His company is now worth around $300 million dollars, and he has been invited to the White House to speak with President Trump at a meeting about manufacturing businesses in the United States.

I thought Mike Lindell was more of a Kamila Harris supporter as his products were part of her rise in politics.

I believe about 40,000 Somalia’s live in Minnesota mostly in pockets in urban areas. Immigration from Somali has almost stopped since Trump has been president. They came initially for jobs in meat packing plants. Many others work retail jobs that few people here want. Minnesota is a very caring state as pointed out by the work Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services do......everyone here is either Catholic or Lutheran. Our Amazon Fulfillment Center employs many Somalia’s.
Your comment about rude obnoxious behavior is not true in my opinion. The ones I have met have been nothing like that. Not entitled either....hard working people that are not on welfare and contribute to society.
Imagine escaping your warring country and having to live for years in a refugee camp.
Yes they have different customs and look differently but definitely have contributed to the area.
You seldom hear about violence in their communities.
Just my opinion of course.

I can copy paste too!

What the numbers say

• The Somali population accounts for nearly 1 percent of Minnesota's population.

There are between about 42,400 and 55,200 people of Somali heritage living in Minnesota. They live in between about 13,000 and 16,500 households.

White people make up more than 80 percent of Minnesotans, around 4.4 million people, in about 1.9 million households.

FBI statistics reveal that Minnesota’s fifth congressional district, which is represented by Rep. Ilhan Omar and includes the urban area of Minneapolis, is the jurisdiction with the highest rate of terrorist recruitment in the United States.

Minnesota is reported to have the highest Somali population in the United States, with current population estimates breaching 100,000. This demographic has proven to be connected to terror-related activities, Fox News reports,

“More men and boys from a Somali American community in Minneapolis have joined — or attempted to join — a foreign terrorist organization over the last 12 years than any other jurisdiction in the country.

FBI stats show 45 Somalis left to join the ranks of either the Somalia-based Islamic insurgency al-Shabab, or the Iraq- and Syria-based ISIS combined. And as of 2018, a dozen more had been arrested with the intention of leaving to support ISIS.”

In the past, Omar has shown her strong affinity for the Somali community in her district, as well as abroad. In one case in 2016, Omar — who at the time was only a state rep. in Minnesota — defended a group of nine Somalis who had attempted to cross the border into Mexico in a plan to reach Syria, “planning to join ISIS,” KMSP-TV reports.

When they were arrested, she wrote a letter to the judge who oversaw their case asking him to have “compassion” for the wannabe terrorist and to take a “restorative approach to justice.”

Omar wrote to the Judge:

Such punitive measures not only lack efficacy, they inevitably create an environment in which extremism can flourish, aligning with the presupposition of terrorist recruitment. . . . The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion. We must alter our attitude and approach; if we truly want to affect change, we should refocus our efforts on inclusion and rehabilitation.

In reference to the 2013 bombing of a Kenyan mall by Somalia-based terrorist organization, Al-Shabab, Omar placed the blame on the United States and its past foreign policy in the region for the attack: “For us, it’s always ‘I must have not done anything. Why is it happening to me?’ Nobody wants to take accountability of how these are byproducts of the actions of our involvement in other people’s affairs,” Omar stated. (RELATED: Ilhan Omar To Fundraise For Hamas-Linked Muslim Organization)

There are a number of reasons why the Twin City region is afflicted by such high rates of terror recruitment. Robin Simcox, a terrorism and national security expert at The Heritage Foundation, told Fox News that Minnesota’s unique demographic density of Somalis creates favorable conditions for broad radicalization and frequent terror recruitment. (RELATED: Bill Maher Defends Omar Tweets: ‘I Don’t Know Why This Has To Be Seen As Anti-Semitic’)

He explains:

For over a decade, Islamist terror groups have been able to recruit from Minnesota. This is, in part, because Minnesota has a large Muslim population compared to other parts of the U.S. However, it is also because there have been small segments of the Somali community there that have struggled to integrate into the U.S. Al-Shabaab and ISIS have exploited this – upon religious, political cultural and identity issues to offer a compelling alternative to Western democracy.

Well, that's disappointing!!

Hopefully Tom Fitton and Judicial Watch will be successful in their task...

I can pretty much guarantee if Mike Lindell runs for office him  being criticized by his opponents because he wears a cross (and proud of it) on his commercials!

Well, it was really nice while it lasted......

Well, speak for yourself!

I liked the political discussions on this board.

Although, as we all know, some did get out of hand – on both sides.
But there was still quite a bit of information and ideas shared from both perspectives.

With all the political BS going on now I’d come here to see what people here thought about it.
And when there was no discussions I was wondering if I missed a memo on this board about “NO more political discussions”!
(was there one?)

Or did members get tired of all the bickering and name calling?

Or maybe realize no-one is going to change either sides thoughts/beliefs and didn’t want to waste your time?

If anybody cares, I will say I’m an independent and will vote who I think will do best for this country.
In 45yrs of my voting life I’ve gone both ways. (voting that is, just to clarify)

Right now my winds are blowing in the direction of supporting Trump.
With that said, I am/was curious and, with an open mind, want to know reasons why someone would not support him or, worse, do everything to show he is the worst person to walk the face of the earth!
Maybe there was something I missed!

read up on UN 2030 Agenda. every democrat is following most of the goals of the agenda. the new green deal comes from it, except the world ends in 12 yrs actually means the known world system/s end in 12 yrs and the UN system will be put into effect.

When a three hundred million dollar company would rather pay out a million dollars for misleading people with their ads than produce evidence to prove the truth of their ads, you know they're lying deliberately to increase sales.  I know absolutely nothing of Mike Lindell and Minnesota politics other than what I read in this article and what others have posted in this thread, but as a conservative Christian myself, I'm glad he pulled himself out of running for office.  The cause of Christ is not helped when someone who names Him as Lord is the CEO of a company found to have deceived its customers with false health claims and committed fraud in order to avoid paying taxes, regardless of what other good they may be doing.  If he wants to make a difference in politics, he should throw his money behind someone with impeccable character on top of being competent and articulate.

Too many self-professed Christians are fast and loose with the truth.
