The other day I was reading the tech section in Rider Mag. and saw where a guy moved from one area of the country to another.....after being there shortly his motorcycle dropped fuel mileage between 6-8 mpg....he did the normal things, tune-up, new air filter, with no improvement....it turns out where he use to live they only sold 100% gas and where he moved to, had only 10% ethanol....he put in Star Tron fuel additive and immediately returned to his orginal mileage....this additive is made by a company called Starbrite and nulifiies what ethanol does to the gasoline and restores the lost power...now I can get 100% gas here but when I'm on the road its junk time, so what I'd like to do is carry some of this stuff along with me, because my bikes do run better and longer on the 100% gas....problem is I can't seem to find any, has anyone out there ever used this product and where can it be found? I couldn't that info on their web page.

The local Honda shop is carrying it but your best bet is a boat shop.  It was originally diseigned for the marine industry.  I'm giving it a try at the moment.  I'll let you know my results.

I prefer the E-10 and have even run several tanks of E-85 thru the old girl. Ethanol cleans crap out of the fuel system and displaces water effectively as a bonus. Power loss and worse miles per gallon were undeniable on E-85 but when it was 40cents to as much as 60cents per gallon cheaper actual economy (as in dollars per mile) was not that bad. If I had E-85 available every where I would add a 6 or maybe even 8 degree trigger wheel and mill the heads for higher compression just for starters. My 20foot step van actually gets better economy on e-85 than on 87octane dinosaur fuel because the computer can adjust the fuel curve a little richer and advance the timing ALOT farther with out ping or having the knock sensor constantly backing it down. it is kinda an exception to the rule but you dont know unless you try it.  Smiley
