I didn't care two cents for the EBC pads I put on the black bike
at Taos... I was glad to have them then, but I ordered some OEM
pads when I got back.

Yesterday I installed the OEM pads and changed out the front brake fluid,
brakes are quiet and work good now  cooldude ...

Maintenance requires a test ride, so I headed out to Clemson where the
Hell's Angels are having a week-long rally... I found their ground-zero
motel, they had a line of members guarding the entrances of the parking
lot. They weren't interested in having a local show them the good roads.
They seem kind of insular...

Grin yes they are. (I’m impressed you can sit “Indian Style” while doing your brakes. Makes me ache just looking)  Smiley

I had some EBC pads on for one year. I hated them. Did not even come close to stopping as well. Took them off this spring and put on OEM. Much better now

Everyone said they were going to be noisy. Mine made a loud-enough-for-me-to-hear
scrubbing-on-the-rotor noise all the time. And after a day or two they started making
a good SQUEAK when coming to a full stop. They seemed to work well, though...
The OEM one's definitely work well and are quiet.

See how the material on the versrah ones is more than one part? The OEM ones are like
that. The EBC ones I got were solid material. I don't know if that contributes to the sound
or not...

Many years back i had ebc pads on the I/S and did a piss pour job stopping you, you might as well put your feet down to get stopped. Hell they didn't even want to slow you down run oem pads from now on
