Nick Buonoconti has passed away. Undersized, underskilled, But always relentless. He was a great linebacker.

do not remember him playing, but sounds like he led a full life and did a lot of good things for others after his football career.  Dimentia/alzheimers  is a terrible disease affecting everyone so differently yet so horribly no matter what it brings to someone.

I just recently watched  a biography of NB on HBO. Football was like a pimple on a buffalo's ass for this man. To say he led a full life is an understatement. I only knew him from football and the tragedy that struck his one son. Much more to the man and I suggest, if you get the chance watch the program.
