Just joined this forum and wanted to introduce myself.  I rode a Suzuki Intruder-1400.  In 1998 purchased a new Goldwing and in 2005 got a new ST1300.  Now I'm in the process of selling my ST1300 because my knees and legs can't take the riding position.  ST is a great bike and I'm sad that I have to sell it.  But on the bright side, once I sell it I'll be looking for a Valkyrie.  I'm sure I'll be back with lot's of questions when I get one and hope you can steer me in a right direction.

Thanks,

Buzz, are you aware Valkyries do not have the typical cruiser riding position?  Because the Valkyrie uses a highly modified 1500 Goldwing engine, the riding position is similar.  Some of us have modified the pegs by adding Rattlebars Peg Relocators, which moved the pegs down and forward a couple of inches.  See if there is a member near you that will allow you to see if the Valk position is comfortable to you.

I know, but I'm too exited about the Valk now.  You know how it is when you got it into your mind that it's time for something different.  Thanks a lot though.

Hiya Buzz and welcome.

Regarding the riding position on the Valk. I also needed to get into a standard cruising position. I bought the forward controls from "Big Bike Things". Check out his site below.

http://www.bigbikethings.com/

These are made specifically for the Valkyrie. He has two different versions. (Interstate & Forward. The Interstate can be used on all models. That's the set I have. ) Now I can ride with my legs stretched out forward which is much more comfortable for me.

My ST was sold on ebay last week but the buyer faild to come up with the money and was kicked off ebay.  I just re-listed my ST again and although it's not sold yet I', already going nuts with all the things that I could do to a Valk that I don't even have.  I appreciate all the responses and suggestions but I have to pace myself.
