Awesome!

50 years ago my parents had just recently gotten back from their honeymoon, and would start thinking about starting a family in another 2 years or so...  Wink

Well the Air Force kicked me out 27 years ago (not really, I was part of a 200,000 man draw-down).

But I had to stay on inactive reserve for 17.5 more.  Not that they were ever going to call me back.

But then they forgot me, and I only got my Honorable Discharge certificate a few years ago.

I had to be one of the oldest captains still on the books.

Best job I ever had.  (I still have my service dress uniform with ribbons, but it shrunk)  Grin

Feb 2014 I went in 50 years ago. Feb 2018 I was out 50 years ago. There was a certain rush from working the flight deck of an Aircraft Carrier. The Best rush was catapult shots and arrested landings. Course I were a LOT younger then!  Roll Eyes Thanks to All who have served. None of us here gittin any younger quickly. RIDE SAFE.

50 years ago, we had just moved to Key West.  We were getting settled in Navy housing and I was getting ready to start high school, but mostly in the water everyday with my new snorkeling gear exploring.  Life was good.

Actually, scuttled would be the appropriate term.
