Didn't they already do that when he went there for the Ft Hood's Memorial Service?

My understanding was his convey showed up, went to the building for the Memorial, got out went in gave his speech, went back to his convoy and left.

I don't think he visited with any of the wounded.

That is one of the problems when your Commander in Chief has no Military service time......

Marty,
I can't claim ownership of 'em, I just did a Google Images search for "saluting smiley" or something like that... Did a 2nd search for ones with blue berets, and no joy...

Well your "understanding" is wrong.

"...The president and first lady Michelle Obama began an afternoon of consolation by meeting privately with family members of those killed last week and with those wounded in the attack and their families. Obama used his public remarks to put a human face on those who perished, victims ranging in age from 19 to 62..."

Puff Daddy's quote was from an AP story, here's a link to the full story that includes his quote:

And for those not satisfied with the AP, here's the Dallas Morning News.

"...Much of Obama's efforts today will be out of public view. Shortly after arriving at Fort Hood, he and first lady Michelle Obama plan to meet with families of those killed, at III Corps Headquarters. They'll also meet with some of the wounded and their families before the memorial service that starts at 1 p.m.."

How much more documentation do you folks need?

Who gives a hoot about who visited or not. That story is about a neighbor of mine. Let's honor him and quit your childish bickering.

What color would you call this one? I can make a different colored one but this looks dark blue to me already.

That's the Army's Black Beret.  The reason I want a dark Air Force Blue one is that i used to wear that beret as a member of the Air Force Security Police.
