In metropolitan areas. Panic in the streets last night in Times Square from gunshots! Turns out it was a motorcycle backfiring according to news reports.

Sounds like the bike needed a good mechanic to fix the problem. Too bad NY has a gun hysteria problem.

They would need to also ban ricer tuner cars or any vehicle that has a rev limiter with modified exhaust. Most every politician that is full of hot air.
