Since picking up my '98 Valk a few weeks ago with only 10K miles on it, I've ridden every chance I could.  I just noticed today I've put 500 miles on her.  In celebration I took her to the interstate and opened up the throttle for a bit.  My goodness does the dragon roar!

 Cheesy

I'd love to take a road trip; but for now I'm stuck on short runs.  But even those can be fun.

I love this bike guys.

Some times a short trip can add up to a lot of miles. ENJOY THE RIDE.  It only gets better. Welcome to the addiction.

Rolled my first 1000 miles onto the bike tonight.  I saw it was getting close and decided to take the long way home, then made it longer.  Then when I thought I'd get the numbers lined up just right, I pulled over a bit too slow for the picture.

Unbelievable how relaxing a ride can be.    I haven't had many opportunities to just go for a ride, but today I found myself just going another ten miles, multiple times.

I really do love this bike.
I'm grateful to own it and  happy to ride it.

As others have said- welcome to the addiction! Each year i put a little more miles on her. This year so far I'm a little over 5000. You will find for some on this forum 5000 miles is just a warm up run. In the search bar type high mileage valks. I doubt you will find a HD that would come close to what these girls can do. At least without being rebuilt a dozen times lol.
