Yes, it’s cool to own one of the best and most legendary bikes ever made. I was doing a search the other day trying to figure out the correlation between the code stamped on the engine block and the VIN #. I found out they can only be matched by certain agencies (police being one of them) but otherwise can’t really be matched to the VIN by a common joe.
All that to say, in my search I came across several articles introducing the “New Honda Valkyrie” written in ‘96 with speculations as to the horsepower and options etc. was an interesting read. It also goes a long way to describe the psychology behind those who buy Harleys and those who will buy other bikes. It made sense too. Harley riders may be impressed by the Valkyrie, but it will unlikely influence their decision to buy another Harley.
