I Dont give a crap I don’t patronize that commie business.  Evil
And I guess they will stop selling all ammo including BB’s.
Anything used to harm another human can be classified as an assault weapon. Even a #2 ticondaroga pencil you used to write with while in school. So they need to quit selling pens, pencils hell anything. You can assault someone with a soda can. So wal mart should shut its doors for good.

and in addition they-walmart-ask that you NOT open carry in their stores in open carry states. Wunder When the ask becomes a demand?  Lips Sealed I git better prices on ammo and weapons at my Mom and Pop gun store right here in Willow Springs Mo. I quit buying ammo at walmart when .22s were near impossible to git. Just thought I'd pass this along. Can you spell knee jerk reaction? RIDE SAFE.

I have never bought 2A products at the Evil Empire anyway.  But as the biggest retailer, their influence and marketing is too big so their policies significantly affect public perceptions and drive such things as the left's attempts to infringe on our rights as well as try to change them legally.  Though I can't fault them for their perceived need to do SOMETHING after the Odessa massacre.  For PR reasons.  Though they haven't cared about that much in recent years.  Also on the new policy of no open carry - I don't do that anyway when on foot - almost w/o exception.  Though during this weekend's Darby ride it was too hot to wear a cover garment particularly on Hwy 141 along the Delores river valley so I did open carry into a burger joint.

One should ask themselves if Rural King would be doing the same thing if that killing spree had occurred at one of their stores.   Don't get me wrong, I am not a Wally World fan and I do agree that they are pandering to the Liberal Left but, I really can't suggest what RK would do but, it would not surprise me if they would do the same thing Walmart did.

I'm not a fan of businesses caving on guaranteed rights for personal liability concerns or optics.

But my experience at Walmart ammo counters goes like this.  I cannot read or see anything beyond maybe a brand name from outside the counter (without binoculars).  The counter is never manned; until you walk behind it to get an actual look at what they have (brand, caliber, bullet type, grains, yada).  You can't steal anything because it's all locked up, but within a minute or two of going behind the counter, NOW a counter person shows up who emphatically tells you you can't be there.  So you move to the approved position, and they ask you what you are looking for, and I reply I want to know all of what you have, I could be looking at a dozen or more things, maybe.  And that's it, it's a standoff (short of beginning a long tedious process of asking what they have in X, and them showing you a box at a time.  Shopping for ammo at Walmart is a complete waste of time.  Unless all you want is the cheapest range ammo they have in the caliber of your choice.

So for me, Walmart has no ammo anyway.

I've heard some Walmarts have ammo on an isle where you can actually see what they have.  Not here.

I order in bulk anyway, and not one single store can beat those prices anyway (even with delivery).  That or professional reloaders at gun shows.

Wal-Mart should ask themselves if they had not been stocking arms & ammo would this tragedy have never happened? Or did this happen because they sell arms & ammo?
If Wal-Mart is in any way responsible for these atrocities, they should close all their doors so that no other innocent life will be lost.
They will never issue a statement upholding the 2nd amendment, by not doing so, they are not willing to uphold the Constitution. As "they" say, it's all about the benjamins.

Jess, all true!
AND, about a year ago, my local ww started asking for a MA drivers license along with the LTC. Now our LTC has a gov’t approved pic on it, so I asked why the drivers license also? Clerk says because that’s what I was told to do. I asked him if he ever heard of the Nazis? Got a blank stare.... He scanned my LTC & drivers license. That went right up my ass.  tickedoff
I complied because my grandson was coming shooting with me that day and I was out of time.

Now I stock enough to shoot what I want, when I want, bought from my local gun store. With no ball-busting!

F-in commies....

The nice thing for me with Wal-Mart carrying ammo is I was able to slip a few boxes in every time I went grocery shopping, thus moving ammo out of the Gun Budget and into the Grocery budget... I'll miss that, but c'est la vie...

They have free popcorn at the door when you walk in RK, so remember that next time you and your wife celebrate your anniversary. Treat the whole family, free up some grocery money.
Lot of the guns in the counter are buttery, so be extra careful while examining Wink

We are lucky to have a Rural King come in about 4 years ago close by in Greenville, OH, and they also took over an abandoned KMART.  I go a handful of time a year and the gun counter is always, and I mean every time is crowded with lookers and buyers.  Prices are really good also ( be selective on clothes as flimsy material except carhardt )and they carry a myrid of country and city items.  I guess only 109 stores at present and they only add a few store/year.  Probably a good strategy.

I once got a Winchester Model 70 from Kmart. (long discontinued Lightweight - 30.06)

In California even.   Grin

Cost $300 (nice ones today are more than double that).

a b c news national david muir reported wal mart will no longer sell hand gun ammo and sizes that can be used in "assault weapons"! Draw yer own conclusions. RIDE SAFE.
I have never bought a gun from Walmart. Probably 20 years since I bought any ammo at Walmart. So. What the hell is the big deal. Is Walmart where you get your guns and ammo from?  If so you are in bad shape.
I think the point is they are bowing to the left.

I could forgive them wussing out and stopping selling scary guns or scary ammo, but these things, I cannot forgive:

1. "Walmart is a charter member of the Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership, organized by Walmart and Everytown for Gun Safety." (AKA Bloomberg's extremist anti-freedom group)

Source - https://corporate.walmart.com/policies

2. From the CEO: "We do not sell military-style rifles, and we believe the reauthorization of the Assault Weapons ban should be debated to determine its effectiveness. We must also do more, as a country, to understand the root causes that lead to this type of violent behavior. Today, I’m sending letters to the White House and the Congressional leadership that call for action on these common sense measures."

Source - https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/03/the-full-memo-from-walmarts-ceo-about-pulling-back-on-gun-sales.html

THOSE actions are inexcusable.

Will I boycott Wal Mart? No, I won't. That's just not practical, it's the best and biggest grocery store near me. But, I will move Wal Mart from being my primary place where I only go to other places to find things they don't have to a tertiary position, where I'll go to other stores as my primary, and Wal Mart only when they have something the others don't....

And, I think I can do without Wal Mart entirely for at least one week:

Far as food weapons and ammo I can do Better price wise right here where I live in Willow Springs. Places where wally wurld saves me money are beer and chips and some of my O T C meds. BUT with my Walgreens card I'm starting to do better on O T C meds at Walgreen. Lotsa bait and gun shops here in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas with mucho better ammo prices than wally wurld. And their Murphy gasoline is generally cheaper street price and with my Murphy preloaded card it's 3 cents cheaper a gallon than the posted price. Boycotting wally wurld fer a week? NOT a problem fer me at all. 2 or 3 weeks wouldn't pose a problem for me either. RIDE SAFE.

Walmart didn't become the largest retailer in the world (just guessing) by making stupid decisions. Many on the left have decried their tactics of wiping out small businesses for decades. It has had little impact. I doubt this decision will have much of an impact either.
