Figured I go after that when I had the bead leak fixed. The male end in the box assembly speedometer gear part # 44800 MR1 003 was broken off inside the sensor assemble speedometer part # 37700 MBY 008. That broken piece was the reason i could not get the sensor into the new box assembly. After i got the broken piece out on a hunch i called Bob-AKA atticrat. He informed me that with a small straight slot screwdriver that sensor assembly should turn VERY freely. It didn't. I used some WD 40 to help get things loosened up then I used some gun oil as I did not have 3 in 1 oil handy. Several light applications of gun oil and much turning with that small screwdriver and it finally turned IMHO rather freely. My 120 mile test ride had the speedometer workin like almost new. Figure any time I have the front wheel removed I'll lube up that sensor assy with some gun oil sorta as a preventive maint thingy. That box assy was flirtin with 80 bucks with taxes. Hope this might help some one here with a similar issue. RIDE SAFE.
