Every now and then I want to say hello so you guys know I am still alive and didn't forget this forum and you all ;-)
My girlfriend talked me into getting a Nexus card. I never really wanted it, but the last 2 weekends were incredible and crossing the border with the Nexus took 2 minutes.
I only had half a day of riding time last Monday, Labour Day, and decided to check out Mt. Baker. Perfect weather and stunning scenery:

On the same weekend we had a day ride over on the Sunshine Coast and on Sunday I had a brunch in Squamish with a fellow darksider. Some of these guys are just picture whores, but we got some great shots at Porteau Cove.

Since my job doesn't all the time allow me to just ride when it's sunny out, I ride on my weekends and it doesn't matter if it rains or not. Yesterday we were supposed to have a 30+ rider group for another Mt Baker ride, at the end it was just 3 of us. Going up to Mt Baker was tough and on top we had zero visibility.
Getting creative while the other guys got pulled out at the border crossing....

After that we decided to go to the coast and ride the Chuckanut road and also stop at Taylor's Shellfish Farm. If you've never been there and you like oysters, this is an awesome spot.
Buy your oysters, shuck them by yourself, enjoy a drink and keep going again. The scenery is beautiful!

After that we rode up North again for another stop in Bellingham. Yeah, 18 oysters were not enough and we wanted more ;-) My buddy guided us to a place called "My Rancho Meat Market". It's a Mexican butcher with a little seating area inside and outside, and tacos are only 1$ a piece. And they were delicious!!!!!

After all that food, it was time to cross the border again.... but first we had to take some sunset shots in Birch Bay. This is my favourite one...

Please let me know if you guys like little photo and story posts like that. Maybe you already found a place you've never been to and want to check it out right now ;-)
And thanks for the update on Valhalla 2020, already in my calendar ;-)
And did anyone see the new upgrades? Luggage rack, backrest... and I also got highway pegs, just waiting for the new clamps to arrive. At first I felt a little old after installing the backrest, hehe. But after riding it now, it is an awesome add-on and I am pretty happy with it.
