Signal light - quick flash
«

Need some advice from you electrical gurus.
I have the front left signal light on my National Cycle light bar doing the quick flash. I still have a running light and The 1156 bulb looks good. Rear left signal light also works, just flashing fast.
Disclaimer - I say front because I recently moved the headlight forward with an extension plate. The Right side signals and running along with the passing lamps on the National Cycle light bar are all working fine.
Do I have some kind of ground issue ? Suggestions on how to troubleshoot ?
Thanks in Advance
Lyle.....

What happened to the running light and flasher bulb, a dual filament 1157 type?
The flash rate is determined by how much current is drawn, and the mechanical flasher in most motorcycles slows down or stops when a bulb is out, and can flash faster when there is excess load. If you have two 1156 types, front and back, and the running light is not part of the front socket, there would be a 42W load, and fast flashing would mean you have a partial short to ground, like a scraped wire. If you have the 1156 bulb in a dual contact socket meant for an 1157, that is where your partial short is.

My bad Wintersol, it is an 1157 dual filament. I've cleaned up the socket with electrical cleaner and now everything is working as it should.
Thanks for your help & advice

I suggest cleaning up the socket with electrical cleaner. I've heard that works. I know, my reputation for helpfulness is well-earned.
