Jenny (daughter) and I rode to Colorado to take in the fall colors and have some quality father-daughter time.  We were a week early for good colors.  The leaves were just starting to change.  We rode the Durango to Silverton railroad.  We toured the Million Dollar Highway.  Explored the town of Silverton.  We hiked around in Black Canyon National Park.  Windy Point on 149 was cold and a little damp but a convoy of Model A's and Model T's came through.  We went over Slumgullion Pass, Spring Creek Pass, and Wolf Creek Pass.  We stopped for coffee in Creed.  We hikes up to Treasure Falls.  We had wet roads but avoided most of the rain.  We heard about the gondola in Teluride so we rode it up the mountain.  What a view!  Colorado National Park was interesting as was Unaweep Canyon.  We even stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, on our way home.  2040 miles.  We had a really great time.

You should recognize most of it.  You led me across a lot of those roads last June.  Thanks for the tour.  I'll check out Honda Trip Planner.  See you in about three weeks.

Sounds like a great outing John. Great to be able to spend it with your daughter like that, warms the cockles.  This was a bike trip?

My son and I once hiked/climbed up one side of Treasure Falls and down the other. Great memories, the falls were a bit fuller back then.

It was a bike trip and we did climb up one side and down the other with leather chaps and MC boots.  It was a little wet and muddy, but we loved it.
