You did realize it is used as a term of art to denote what the speaker takes to be a less than enthusiastic crowd and not to imply he was speaking to the actual enemy.

Still it was a poor choice of words to be utttered but obviously taken out of context in a long interview by whoever posted it on youtube.

Sound bites are just that..... bites  not the whole meal

But your Right he did say he was sorry poor choice of words? My son Graduated from the Air force Academy, Maybe when you personally have your son or daughter in several wars it has a different ART effect on one, What a insult to all our Armed Forces. i guess i seen this on Fox My Bad.
