..for a ride. Even the online weather forecast labeled it as 'delightful'. And it's been like this for the last week or so....Just simply deliciously fantastic... cooldude

Times like this I don't mind living 70 miles or so from work.

Although I do have a leaky petcock. No amount of fiddling with it will get it to stop. New one on order from Pingel. I went with the non-vacuum, still pricy. A bit more than I thought at $129. Add $100 for the vac,,,

Yes it is a great day

Bonnie and I drove up to Saugerties for the Garlic Festival  It was over 80 by the time we left for home.

Bought a whole bunch of different garlics for the garden. They will get planted end of October   Ate lots of garlic alone, in fries, in olive oil, in london broil you name it  cooldude

Festival continues tomorrow if you want to ride over there (Exit 20 NYS Thruway)  Get there early before gridlock hits the roads  We got there by 10am and all was good.

I rode the 50 miles each way to see Kali at her job, she's working as a scarer in a large Halloween theme park.....

The sunset was glorious.....

Made it a date night with the spousal unit...

No pics allowed of the elder spawn in makeup, they're fired if any pics of 'em show up online while made up, but she's quite frightening!

.....and so are Mommy and I after she got a speeding ticket doing 95 on the way home from work!!!

OUCH, sounds expensive. I'm guessing that it will cost a week of her pay to get rid of that one.

did she really get a speeding ticket doing 95 - OUCH  !!  if so,  or are you just joking, sure hope so...

I do not know what I would do if either of my kids got a ticket doing much over say 70 mph in a 55 speed zone.  For once I would make them pay their own car already extremely high vehicle insurance which I tried enforcing when they got their license/cars to drive age 16/17 and still not enforced thanks to the spousal unit giving in as always.

Once your 3 triplets get their drivers license in the next 10 years or so good luck as well!   Shocked

(Sorry for the threadjack Baldo, but.....)

Nope, not joking at all...

He kinda did her a favor, I tracked her ACTUAL speed via her phone and all it said was "100+", so he dropped it down to a ticket so it wouldn't be reckless driving...

And yes, she will be the one handling this, both logistically and financially!

She got off work a little after 1:30 AM, was trying to get home ASAP because she had to be up before 7AM the next day for a swim meet, and got a little too aggressive...

Almost better than what Mommy and I can do, her boss at the theme park is VERY defensive of her, and we told him. He was LIVID and WILL be making an example of her in front of the rest of the team on what NOT to do...

Being as she was pulled over at 2AM on a Friday night, I honestly think the cop was nabbing a drunk, not a 17 year old sober kid headed home form work.

She wasn’t hurt. That’s the main thing. I’m sure she’ll learn from this. Might be a great lesson.

OUCH sorry for the WOW awakening.  Only speeds around here that are 70 is one Interstate and the rest is 55.  Lucky for me not so sure the 04 pontiac vibe can do 100 mph nor would our kids even try doing much of anything over 80 mph with it not too safe at over that speed.

Now, just be glad it was not on the Valk doing 100+.  Or, maybe not, for if she was on the Valk at 2 a.m. doing 100+ and the cop pulled her over she might have gotten away with one since the cop would have been too much in shock to see such a large nice looking bike being handled by such a young, skinny female.

Update - Judge wouldn't lower it to allow deferred adjudication or defensive driving, $224 fine.  We'll see what that does to insurance in November when our renewal rolls around...

I think I can guess what it will do.  Sorry she had such an expensive lesson.

I think she's been watching daddy . OUCH
She is lucky, I think in WI that would be  reckless driving and loss of driving privileges. Most all of us have had a lesson like that  Sad
