I had mounted the machine and was gearing up in the Walmart parking lot.  I tend to park out a ways from the door.  I need the walk more than some.  Cars were passing behind me on their ways in.   I heard a recognizable wolf whistle and a lady's voice yelling, "Nice bike!".  I turned a bit as a maroon Honda van passed away from me.  I raised my hand in greeting and appreciation.

This bike has been such a joy to me.  I can't take it anywhere without someone commenting or wanting to talk about it.

Incidentally my wife and I own four Valkyries.  Guess which one has Tourer in its VIN.

Right there with you....on both counts, especially the walk. I must be a pretty decent cook! Wink It has become a bit more difficult however as of late. My mailbox is about 200 yds. down the parking lot so when possible I walk down there instead of driving or riding the bicycle.

LOL!  Yes.  The two with bags were built as Standards.  The bags and shield were gone from Daisy Mae before I acquired her.  I particularly like that one that way.

While you have several very nice Valkyries, I am impressed most with this one's paint scheme/styling.
Similar to what I was trying to achieve but, done with more flare.   I like it.   Though, my preferred colors would be orange and black.  Very nice!   cooldude

Right the opposite here today. Rode to Sealy Tx this morning for breakfast and in Brenham Tx area I stopped at a red light and a full dresser Harley pulls up in lane next to me.   Has on a helmet and is dressed nice but has on a bluejean jacket with cut off sleeves and patches galore all over it but is flying no colors.   I very loudly looked at him and said “Great morning for a ride”.    He looked straight ahead.    Again I said “Good looking Harley “.    He never acknowledged me.    Ha.    What an idiot.    Then when the light turned green he thought he was gonna get out in front of me.     Wrong.    Ha

In fairness it is the Valkyrie ridden by Motomama.  I am responsible largely for its appearance and especially for the paint on the bags and side panels.  I did not do the paint but I described the pattern and paid a qualified painter to do so.  I would have prefered the scallops on the bags center more on the edge but it is a good looking bike.

I'd guess this bike gets far more whistles than that taxi cab/school bus looking bike "you" have.

Well, I wasn't aware of who rode what.   But, I like it regardless of who rides it.   Additionally, be assured, if I could "wolf whistle" at someone, it would most definitely be MotoMama over Willow.
I'll leave it at that.  Wink

at least it was of the female decent.   Coming from a small hicktown in WI 4 years ago took a trip/vacation to the BIG city of Washington DC only to be hit on in the early morning hours walking out of our hotel by a black dude dressed in a red dress and high heels.  He (dressed as a she) kept jabbering to me sort of was getting annoyed but kept walking held my tongue since she (sorry meant he) was bigger than me with adams apple and all......   I was about ready to get my redneck out of me and if he would have pressed on, would not have ended well for him.... 2funny
