We need to borrow a bunch of chairs (100ish) and some tables for Sunday afternoon/evening June 7.  They don't all have to come from the same source.  If you help fill this need (all or some), please let me know.  We don't even mind eclectic. Wink

Thanks!

I don't know about Asheville, but when my family had reunions in my hometown, we had a funeral director that went to our church, and would loan us folding chairs.  Manys the time I helped my dad pick them up and return them.  A local church may also be an alternative.  Just need a trustworthy local to set it up for us.  I'd volunteer to help transport, but can't fit very many chairs or tables on the valk.  If I bring the trailer I might be able to handle a few.

We'll be on site Saturday and Sunday for set up.  I think we can get them transported... we just need to locate some.

Maybe the hotel will be revealed only when you register for InZane...

Perhaps a local or two could ask their churches.

I've had my Valkyrie for 10 years, and have never gone to Inzane. Maybe next year is the year!

Yep, it's probably about time.  Personally, I've only been to 19 InZanes... so far. Wink

Keep in touch.  Cheryl and I went to the last one in Asheville and really enjoyed it.  I am checking out the area and trying to find things to do and see that we didn't do and see last time.  If we can come up with a bunch and mix them in with some of the Inzane activities we just might go back.  I haven't really spoken with OSS about it so not sure where he's at yet.

Gary,
We are taking a family vacation to the Delaware shore with all the kids and granddaughter, that ends on the 4th, but yes I plan on being at Inzane on the 01 Interstate.

It is a long 12 hr plus day ride there (without long coffee stops) but I have done it before,

Oss

But would rather take BRP from Roanoke south the 2nd day

That's what we did last time.  Remember starting out on the BRP in the mist and fog???  I could barely see the taillight of the bike in front of me.

It was $66.00 a head the last time the wife and I rode up on the bike. She's not been on a motorcycle in years now I'm guessing that was 15 / 16 years ago.

Now the website shows $79!!!

I went years ago with my then wife and another couple.

Did the self guided wander around looking at stuff. On one of the upper floors we bumped into one of the docents. Obviously bored he decided to give us a mini lecture about the house. During this he told us that when the family moved out they took most of the furniture with them and that the furniture in the house was of the correct period but in general had no connection to the family.

At Asheville InZane, Sandra and I were on a route that happened to take us past Chimney Rock.  When we saw it, we decided to change our plans to enter the park.  The elevator was out, but we decided to take the 499 stairs to the top.  With our motorcycle boots and pants on (my boots were heavy duty, coming up to the bottom of my calves, and my pants were leather and fabric; Sandra's boots were smaller and her pants partly mesh) it was a hot hike.  When we got to the restaurant we had our pant cuffs rolled up and our boots off to cool down.  It spite of that, it was a worthwhile excursion.  It seems they finally have their elevator operational.
