96" FI, 6-speed. 6,400 miles. Older guy ridden and didn't 'feel' dropped as I felt around. Interior of the hard bags should no wear. Only blemish was some knicks in the tips of the exhaust from backing into curbs. $14,999 is asking. Oh and its not for me. The x-wife is getting her hubby one for x-mas and wanted me to look it over since they were in PA for the week.

Too bad you wasn't closer. I have a 09 Road King with hard bags setting in my shop with 7300 miles. It has electric cruise control, aftermaket pipes mapped by harley. Custom seat with back rest for both. Few more bells and whistles. Selling it for a friend of my daughter. I believe she will take $14500.00 for it. She's ready to sell it.

I don't want to step on any VRCC toes, or even friend of VRCC toes, but if a Street Glide is acceptable in place of the Road King, the Honda dealer where I trade has a beautiful black '07 that was traded in on a Goldwing.  It has 19,200 on the clock, but looks brand new.  It's listed at $14,999.00 but I was up there today and the GM (old friend) told me $13,800.00.

Hey Brian, as you know i have a Harley ultra Classic, and i have the Valkyrie. I really enjoy riding the Harley, It's no Valkyrie but it is a nice ride for me. I did alot of research on this bike and its everything i thought it would be. I know they are over priced and not as dependable as a Honda, but i wanted one so i got one. It all depends on what kind of riding you want to do.

I've got a 2007 Electraglide Classic. Same basic platform.

The 07s are nice bikes, but like all newer Harleys they run very hot stock. The only way to solve the heat issue since it's caused by running them too lean due to EPA emission standards is to add a Power Commnader or some such EFI control device and then add a set of slip-ons and K&N or other such AC. (this is a stage 1) That will bring the heat down AND had torque. Even better if you add a oil cooler to the bike.

The other thing the 07s beg for is the IDS that can be fitted to the rear sprocket. The IDS stands for Isolated Drive Sprocket. It's a rubberized sprocket and smooths out the ride.

Add those options and it's a great bike. Not a Valkyrie power wise, but the 6 speed really gives you a great long distance bike. The size being a bit smaller than the Valkyrie works well for many people and the 96ci with a stage 1 upgrade is adequate, but not Valkyrie power. (why I have the Valkyrie too)
