As the subject states..... Now let me tell you why

I was heading up to Winston Salem, NC to help my daughter move to Raleigh. I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe.
I received a recall notice in the mail about 3 weeks prior to my trip to help her move; a sensor alert on the motor needs replacing. Well I needed to set up an appointment to get this taken care of but I travel for work and real busy. I have a 14 Santa Fe with 155k miles.

Well I was in Bham, Tampa and N. Orleans prior to my trip to Winston Salem so too busy yet to make an appointment.

Now have you started figuring it out yet? I'm 40 miles just south of Winston Salem on Hwy 40 and the Santa Fe just dies.

No indicator that there was an issue going on. I coast to the side of the road. Engine light comes on, it will not start. I look up the Hyundai Dealer in Winston Salem, Bob King Hyundai.
Its about 4'oclock and they close at 6. I tell them what's going on and I'm going to try and get to them before they close. Well the car starts after 15 mins and I get to the exit where the dealer is located. The light turns RED

I had a bad feeling about being stopped at that light.

died for good. So I called Triple A, they pick me up in record time, load me on a flatbed and we make it to Bob King before they close. I'm there 15 min's and they tell me my engine is dead

and I qualify for a new motor
Long story shorted so this isn't too long, they give me a rental which I drive it for over a month, put 3,800 miles on it by the time my Santa Fe gets to me.

They actually ship my Santa Fe to me in Pensacola.

My Santa Fe has a totally new engine with 12k mile warranty. Now I'll do that in 4 months but that's ok.
I can tell by the way it dirves it is a new tight engine, I went to my local machanic and he looked it over and was very impressed pointing out all the new parts as well. I'm sticking with Hyundai.
