80 years old.  He could sure beat the skins.  Claimed he went deaf from all the noise.

My younger brother called me at my college up north and told me to get my butt moving as he had scored tickets to Cream's final American concert at the Providence Auditorium (a hockey arena, no acoustics) in fall of 1968.  I hustled right down and met him at the regular parking spot near the National Guard Armory side street.  Stage left, fifth row.
Great drummer, fantastic band.  Rest those sticks now; another generational passage. Sad

My copy of Blind Faith is about wore out

Yeah he was something else for sure

Cream and Blind Faith two bands that streaked across the world of rock like meteors, here then gone but not forgotten

Baker Grivitz Army open for Robin Trower in 1974 at Detroit’s Masonic Temple. Ginger had his drum kit out front center stage  Grin
He was an oddball character for sure, even more so than most of the other looney drummers  coolsmiley
