Don't threaten me with a good time

Greeneville, TN

« on: October 07, 2019, 05:00:02 PM »

As several folks of this group already know. My Uncle, riding buddy, and closest friend Gary Foiles known on the board as Painter, passed away Tuesday last week at his home.

Gary wasn't much of a poster, but did frequent many rides and has been a member of this fine group for well over a decade.

Unc was diagnosed with liver cancer in late summer and at his request, wished to keep that information private among family and close friends.

If it wasn't for him and my dear Auntie Rosie (Po), I would never have had the opportunity to join this group and establish so many friendships throughout the past decade.

Please keep Rosie and family in your thoughts

Painter and Rosie were always one of our favorite couple to be around, Tracy and I always enjoyed the time we were able to spend with them. Our condolences to you and your family and our hearts go out to Rosie for her loss.

Always enjoyed sitting and talking with Gary at our rides.
Gary made sure we were able to get back on the road safely in Crawforfdsville a couple years ago after we had a tire throw a belt on a holiday weekend. He was a great man and is dearly missed. We know you loved him, Reb. Please bring Rosie on a ride again!

Condolences to Rosie and the family.

Got to know Gary more about 2 years ago when we talked trikes at the Fall ride on the river in southern Indiana.   He had been to the CBR also.
He was a great guy and easy to talk to.

Sad he had to go like that.

My thoughts are with Rosie never seen one without the other . Gary was a good one was shocked the day Reb called and told me the news about his cancer not long after Eric passed away .
What a drag it is getting old.

I am heartbroken, Gary was a good man, who was a joy to be around. I had the pleasure of riding with him and Rosie for several years before my health got bad and I couldn't ride anymore. He was a good friend to many of us on here and opened his home for some of us through the years. Preston, Rosie, Garland,  Deonia, and the rest of the family, you have my condolences and prayers to get through this.
