Wonderful update. God has delivered once again, as I have been on the receiving end of his power and grace throughout my life.

angel Great news on the success of surgery and news of unlikely cancer cells. Prayer is very powerful and I'll make sure we add Bailey to our SS prayer list. God Bless you and your family.  coolsmiley

Thank You one and all for your prayers and well wishes.

I brought her home late this afternoon, she has a long road of recovery ahead due to the size of the incision but she is in great spirits and they seem to be managing her pain well.

A blessing indeed. God is good all the time.

that is awesome news.  she will be sore for awhile, but best case scenario for sure!    cooldude

good news as well the scare will always be there but will lessen in seeing it over the years as well, or it should anyways.

I know our 'adult'' kids on their own now us parents never stop worrying over them.  OUr daughter called us up this weekend saying she has stomach pains and has not gone pooo  in 3 days now and hurts.  On never knows what it is for 3 days without going #2 is a long time I think??  Heck,  I usually worry if I do not go at least once per day.... Cry

them both being young age 18 and 21 on their own now and sort of spoiled I might add by us parents makes you always wonder if you could have done more (not spoiling, more teaching, etc.) while they were home??   Undecided

Get her to a doctor/hospital ASAP!  My mom nearly died a year or so ago from a blocked bowel that had those symptoms.

I guess she went but as you say,  my mom was worrying over her as well since she is irregular down there off and on for a long, long time.  She has hernias in her stomach and drs. do not want to operate removing them if at all possible unless blocks more so bowel movement or ruptures.  Problem is my mom has pretty bad alztheimers now and would not know if something was wrong down there at all.  Saw here at asst. living this week and she was asking me where she is going to sleep tonight when she has been there for almost 2 years now.

Hey Dave, congrats! When my son was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, people thankfully from Catholics, Jews, Spanish churches, Buddists, community churches and people non denominational prayed and doctors found a treatment, only approved a year before, to keep him alive, which he still receives today every 14 days. That was 5 years ago. The power of prayer is something I have witnessed first hand. God bless you and Your Family!
