Working on reassembly of the harness in the headlight and dunno how its gonna go... we shall see.
But first question..... If  I had a complaint about the bike is that the headlight is wimpy...
---->Waht is the simpliest upgrade? Want to keep cost down a bit....

Starting to look like a bike...

I upgraded my headlamp with a LED type, and am very happy with it: https://www.eaglelights.com/products/eagle-lights-honda-valkyrie-led-round-projection-headlight

Whoa! That's interesting, but a bit pricey for now...  Smiley > Looking for less expensive options.  coolsmiley

I have the SUPERBRIGHTLED bulb installed on my bike, 97 Std. Works a lot better than the stock bulb. Id buy again. I see they sell a cheaper one now, 2 yr.warranty. Mine is the more expensive one, lifetime warranty, that's all they sold when I bought it last year. I'm now on their mailing list. Heres a discount coupon if your looking to buy.

If you look on Amazon / ebay you will find many 7 inch LED lights. Then all you need as well is Josh's adapter.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I will look around for the moment to figure what headlight to use... I'm trying to stay like they say... keep it simple stupid.....
Looks like I am ready to go.. Went together easier than expected.. connect the blue stripe wire to the blue stripe female, orange to orange, green to green... etc.. whoa, no wires left... Hmmm.... better than the OEM layout... cooldude

Kinda of a nit at Honda, something I didnt realize is that on a standard Valk, the headlight is open around the perimeter and when it rains or you spray water at it, it is open to go into the inside of the headlight with all the pretty wires going on.... Jeez Honda, couldnt you make a bit of effort to protect the wires from water?
(Oh, now I know the little hole in front is a drain hole.. Roll Eyes)
- Also the mount is prone to rust as per my pic... I wire brushed, sanded, then prime and painted mine...

Awww, rust!

Derusted and painted... not real pretty but functional..

I used a Trucklite LED lamp with Josh's adapter ring, but there is also this drop in unit available. I can't speak to it's quality in any way, since I don't have one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PQ5B4XL/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B07PQ5B4XL&linkCode=as2&tag=kgsynthetics-20&linkId=109561b44fd99befc343dc87668ba789

One thing I am glad I did is to take about 6 or 7 photos of the wiring before I took it apart. ..  cooldude

Pre-tear down photo...
