I am considering running Shinko 890 Journeys this time around. Just curious about how many run Bias Ply rather than Radials.

I'm on my third bias ply shinko on front, and third different radial CT on back. No problems so far. Recently put the same shinko on front of my girl's trike. Also no problem.

I wasn't aware that the Shinko Journey was offered in a bias ply.

I could be wrong but think as said the shinko SE890 Journey in rear is only radial but could be bias ply in front tire.  I would highly consider the cheaper and just as good grip/wear on the front tire being Shinko 230 tourmaster, like it a lot in the front being bias ply

there has to be other people using the Shinko. Which are you using, Bias Ply or Radial?

Just purchased a 230 Tourmaster bias ply front tire; willing to give them a try for $87 bucks.

That is worrisome, but I have seen brands do that too. Maybe we ran over something that cut it.

The 230  Tourmaster is my preference for a front tire.

They grip great on wet or dry roads and for under a $100 I get about 15k miles out of them.

I have ran the 890 Journey on the front and rear.

No real issues except for only getting about 8k miles out of a rear.
