I've stuck a tire valve stem in the handle of a few. Remove the valve, keep the cap.

I've used the tire valve stem as instructed on facebook and had the stem break off, apparently because of rough treatment. Maybe not up to being bumped around. I ordered and installed the yellow vents with built in cap with good results so far. cooldude

These work well...

http://www.nospill.com/

It is probably not good for your gas to sit around and "out gas", so a closed
system probably has advantages...

I keep seeing ads for this.

https://gasspouts.com/

MAKE YOUR GAS CAN GREAT AGAIN!*

Universal fuel and water jug replacement spout kit. Transfer fluids easily with the spout replacement kit. Work-around the auto-shut off (hard to use) feature of some gas cans with this replacement kit.

Flexible spout design allows fuel to be transferred from the canister to the fuel tank without spills by making it easy to bend the spout to reach any angle. Made of HDPE plastic for durability.

Compatible with 98% of all plastic gas cans including:Rubbermaid, Gott, Essence, Wedco, Briggs, Scepter, Eagle, Blitz, Midwest and most others, both old and new.  Not for use with metal cans.

Diameter approximately 1 3/4". Due to wide tolerances in this manufacturer's spout opening, spout can be used with canister's original base cap when needed for fit.

Replace your old or hard to use gas can spout! Also includes 1/2" push in vent allowing a fast and safe perfect pour. Universal Replacement Spout and Vent Kit for Gas, Diesel and Water Cans. Be able to pour fluid easily from your gas, diesel and water cans. Fits 98% of all cans!!

Replaced mine all with a $5 "normal old school" spout kit.  My local Menards has them in stock.  Think filling a bike is hard?  Try a weed wacker...

My premix can has a lever you pull to open the furl neck depress another lever to start fuel flow and release to stop fuel flow. Once I got used to that setup I have NOT spilled a drop of premix while filling weed whacker. And the premix tank is marked BOLDLY that it does in Fact contain premix. So far-knock on my gourd-I haven't put premix into a 4 stroke or vice versa-SO FAR.  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.
