2001 and I've gone over the whole thing, took the wheels off etc.

In the end I changed out the brake pads they were just about shot. Previous owner had them in a box for me along with other wear out parts.

Put red lens on the back tail lights, they were set up to run as running lights but were amber.

Moved shifting level up a tooth now my boot will fit under it easily.

That was it, I polished the wheels when I had them off but everything works and looks good on this bike.

I have bought one older bike but that needed a bunch of work, this thing looks like it's a couple years old. Runs great and sound good with the glass pack mufflers. I am leaving the trombones in, just glass packs is a little too loud for me.  Not Harley loud but loud when riding it.

Looks like I will just be riding this bike not working on it which is great. Have to say this isn't the easiest bike around town but outside of town it goes great.

Congrats!

Trombones make it louder.

Two lines of thought on this bike:

Owners either care for them extremely well and stay on top of cosmetic and maintenance issues...

...or they flatly ride them into the ground.

Both of my current 1500s look like they came right off the showroom floor, albeit with a lot of modifications to each. And they get ridden weekly, if not daily.

Glad you got yourself a good example.  cooldude

If this is your first Valkyrie I hope you know the procedure for re-installation of the rear wheel is critical.

If I can figure out how to post photos. So far Photo Bucket was a fail, google drive was a fail.

I'll figure something out.

I'll try this again think I did it right. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vsjGcBCvne5Dls2tqzsNmrRfU0gr1oBe/view?usp=sharing

You might try https://postimages.org/

I don't know about anyone else, I see a link and not a photo in your post (the link works, but the photo is instant with postimages.org):
