Another question for the more-well-informed (than I)...  I understand the GW 1500 splines can be pressed into the rear drive gear on our Valks... but curious if the same can be done using the VTX1800 splines?

That is an interesting question. The VTX Final Drive looks almost like a mirror copy of the Valkyrie.Final Drive. The internal parts turn in the opposite direction. According to the parts fiche, big ring gear bearing has different dimensions and a different part number.

I just found a closeup pix of the 1800... doesn't look the same on the inside dimensions of the spline cylinder itself.  Probably won't work.
