To those of you that have them, do they require changing the needles in the carbs?

I wouldn't change them until after a freeway run and pull the plugs. Then decide.

I have a fairly early set of VMC pipes - which came with what I'm told are titanium needles (all I know is they're non-magnetic).  However, FactoryPro, DynoJet, and other aftermarket makers of adjustable needles should all work with a little experimentation.

I'm unsure about OEM needles.  Since they're not easily adjustable, my sense is that they'd be a little limited in terms of "tune-ability."  Still, I would agree with the previous poster:  Don't do anything until you see how they work with your current setup under normal use.

F.Y.I. - You can download the actual Viking installation instructions from Dag's website:

Sorry I can't offer a definitive yes/no.  How about a "maybe"?  Smiley

Please keep us posted on how this all works out for you.

Not to hijack, DAG, but that is a name I have not read about in quite some time. He has not posted.

Dag does not ride anymore.   Sad   He gets his "gearhead" fix from a '72 or '73 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible.   cooldude

I wouldn't rejet until trying and then I would pop an extra washer under the needle first as that probably will be all you need
