To make a long story short...  Back during the Harvey flood my 1500 was in a new shop.  Young man about 20 was trying to open up a repair.  The bike was flooded,  I'm finally trying to go through and put the bike back together.  Having a hell of a time with the Alternator, but in looking I have noticed a bundle of wires with 10 pins.  I've looked and looked and can't figure out where it plugs in.  I'm replacing the gas tank (rusted Out), alternator, etc.  But I'm noticing all type of connections that are not connected.  Any help in solving where this electrical pin might go would be helpful.  I'm 68 and don't know hardly anything about a motorcycle engine.  I wanted to put my email on here but didn't know if it would be ok to list it.  I'll keep checking back for a few days.   Thanks for the reply, I'm in South Houston, Texas

Hello,

First, add your location in your profile, you might get some offers of help.

You have an email logo by your avatar, so I expect you have your email address in your profile, so no need to reprint in your post.

Do you have a service manual yet? Get one. Here is the link for the PDF, along with some others.
http://valkyrienorway.com/download.html

The manual should show where the connectors end. You might also have some luck in the online parts fiche and see which one it is.

Pictures are your friends. Post one. You have to upload the pic to a photo hosting site, and then add the link in your pic, fairly seamless. Most now use a site called postimage.org . I always recommend making a folder to put your pictures in that you post to websites. Its offal when you look at a post and the pictures are gone, because the owner deleted there pictures from the host site.

Lastly, edit/modify your original post (#1) and go outside the bottom left corner to Additional Options, and put a tick in Notify me of replies.

Thanks for the info and the manual link.   I did go out to my profile and did as you suggested.  Thanks again.
