A gent on the Classifieds has a Valk for sale I'd like to get my hands on. Problem is...it's in Fredricksburg, TX, that's about 1400 miles away. Any suggestions on shipping, I'd like to build a bobber for running around town and this might be a good start.

I recall members helping move a scooter for a person once upon a time.

I paid less than that to ship my Valk from Seattle (but it took several weeks)  and 500 to ship the police bike to ny from la (took a week)

Haul bikes is the jobber and they get in touch with truckers who are going this way or that and can safely move the bike

If you will look about July/August 2018, I asked the same and found a company that moved motorcycles and pianos. Very reasonable rates. Let me see if I can find something.

Found in my email - www.shippingmasters.com

Whoever you go with John ask bout the insurance. Before loading photos loaded photos and good haulers will note damage before loading on the bill of lading. Also will the M/C be need to be moved before arriving at destination. Should the M/C need to be moved More photos are needed-before and after that move. Sometimes the object has to be moved to facilitate other "stuff" being picked up or dropped off. I KNOW you've tied yer Fat Girl down make sure whoever hauls knows the correct way to tie yours down. As you are aware John you can have too little insurance on something but make durned SURE you have enough insurance for the haul. Hope it all pans out fer ya there John!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Uship.com

I had a bike shipped this summer.  Basically it is a bidding site.  Put your bike to ship up for bid and take the bid you want.  The shippers will have reviews so trust them for the most part.  Be a bit flexible on pickup dates and you will have several bids to pick from.  And if you do not like any of the shippers, just let them all expire.  It is a free service to you just to get the bids.

Best of luck.

Contact Rams on the forum.  He moves bikes and cars all over the country.  He might have to wait till he is headed that way.  He lives in Mississipi now, so kind of in between you and the bike.  He transported my bike to Attic Rat in Oklahoma.
