Weather has been too ______ , (cold , wet , both) and I just didn't get out. Well, today is the best the weather is going to be for at least the next week (mid 60's and bright, sunny, no clouds) so I just HAD to get my northern loop in (up to KCI airport and back home, mostly interstate). It was enjoyable except for construction on I 635 close to home....

I would have gotten out as well was nice and balmy 43 out today was suppose to be windy but was not bad at all and SUNNY for once.  But, had to get different tires on my truck for winter OEM ones slicks down past wear bars tops 2/32" tread and slippery even in rain.  Plus, had to put on snow tires on another car of mine to get ready for winter.  I hate it when old man winter prevents me from doing the FUN stuff vs. the MUST DO stuff.

Next week early tropical weather highs around 15ish each day with possible record lows.  UNREAL,  I suspect this winter will be a brutal one for once, will see?

Cookie- you gotta do what you have to. Down here on KC, I'm not sure anyone uses snowtires so that's one chore I've never bothered with. And my vehicle maintenance is up to date. Stay warm and safe up there.

Here in OR we do have folks who put on studded snow tires first of Nov.  I haven't ever used them, have my tires sipped, run the same tires year round.

But the weather is being really nice, about 5-10 degrees warmer than normal.  Will get out for a couple-three hour ride this afternoon.
