Question about ebay
«
on:

I bid on and won a National Cycle windshield and mount today. The guy started the bid at 1 cent. After I had won them and payed for the shield he canceled my bid on both and marked the mount sold. I know when someone bids and wins something he is expected to pay and to me it should be the same the other way. Just would like to get your thoughts on this.

Did he say it was for sale locally? I'd contact the complaint dept. and let them know what happened and the sequence of events that took place after you paid for it.

I saw nothing about it being for sale local. I thank he just did not get enough for it and because of that he canceled it.

It's shady, but it's not against Ebay rules. The seller is allowed to cancel an order, which was supposed to be if you realized your item was broken, or you thought you had more than you did. I believe you can still leave feedback on the transaction though. I could be wrong about that. If you can, do your worst

Contact eBay and file a complaint. Even if nothing comes out of it he will have this in his sellers file in case he tries to pull this stunt again.
The trouble with auctions is that the seller risks taking a loss...that’s what “reserve” listing are for and some don’t want to pay the extra fees for this form of listing.
Let us know how this turns out...good luck.

He is the one who set it up the way he did no reserve and opening bid of one cent. He did have a buy it now but I got a confirmed I had won from ebay for the shield and the mount. I have sent him a message about it but will probably not get a response. Thanks Oil Burner for the link, your little cartoon is just the way I feel.
