I'm happy with the size 12's on the highway pegs, cruise set on 75, and leaned back on the backrest. If I have a long curve coming up I only need to put either my foot or hand...or both...into the airstream and the bike responds. Don't even need to steer it, kinda fun actually. Besides, at 300mph you don't get to smell the fresh mown hay or hog farms as you pass them.

Re. smelling something as you pass, I recall many years ago tooling through western Iowa and smelling what seemed like fresh baked bread or something similar. I also noticed a lady in the backyard hanging up clothes so just for kicks I did a u-turn and pulled up in front but on the road. She waved, I waved back and said that I had smelled her baking as I rode past. She laughed and to my surprise asked me in to join her husband and her in coffee and homemade sweet rolls. He was sitting on the front porch, asked me to come sit while his wife brought out the goodies. I'm here to tell you that sometimes I believe Heaven exists in more than one place because those rolls were heavenly. I even got a couple extra to take with me. On the return trip I laid on the horn as I passed and got a hearty wave from the husband. Often wondered how their life turned out, seemed rather empty and lonely, never thought to ask if a son or daughter was in the military and had been lost although there were pictures sitting around in the "parlor" but none in uniform. Life's experiences often hold mysteries.
