With salt free roads from Sunday's rain, temps in the high 50s and vacation time I have to take or lose, I took a ride. It was almost a near replay of the roads on which Rich lead us on his July ride. IMHO the best are route 31 south from Charlton, MA to Thompson , CT. Then 193 east to 169 south down to the Putnam, Pomfret CT area, Just beautiful!

I stopped at the Roseland Cottage in Woodstock to take a picture.

From there I continued south on 169 to 171 east to Putnam, where I stopped for lunch at the Main Street Grille. Nice little place.

When I left a little after 1, the temp had climbed to 60. But that's where is stopped. I'll take 60 on November 26th any day.

Meandered home on other back roads. 103 miles on the clock when I got home. The tank is full. The gas is stabilized and the bike got a thorough rinsing and blow dry. With the Christmas rush, I'm pretty sure that's the last ride of 2019 for me. We'll see.   Cool

Good for you Tony.....
Temps hit mid 40's here today, and along with that we had lots of
driveway / side of road run-off coming onto the roads....
Not seeing many bikes out up this way.....

Nice ride Tony. Fortunately, no vacation time needed for me. I took 102 south to 14 west into CT. 12 north to 101 east back to 102 north. All together 90 miles of great weather.

We're about 150 miles south of your location so we've not really had any snow and ice. But it's coming.   Undecided

Glad you were able to get out for a ride Rick to take advantage of the beautiful WX!   cooldude

Most, if not all melting here is from the frost in the roads and driveways...
We have had more than a couple nights in the low teens, if not single digits.....
