Thankfully it was not me but close.

Went out for a late afternoon ride as it was absolutely beautiful out Sherry is still at work, I’m out in the sticks, well it ain’t so much the sticks anymore too much building going on around here, speed limit used to be 60, overnight is 45,  i’m first at the light and some youngster behind me with those belching black smoke pick em up trucks sees a slightly spirited lift off from the Wing and decides to give chase, silly rabbit!  They just don’t know do they, in no time flat zingin through the DCT gears I see a buck 10,  I back off put it into economy mode as I am now putting behind traffic doing the speed limit, no sooner was I comfortable, here is a Florida highway patrol hidden in the giggle weeds. Mr black smoke is now closing at a high rate of speed and has no traffic causing him a slow down at the spot the FHP car was nestled. Oh yes that will be very expensive. Rare to be thankful for traffic.

Speed is not scary, effortless speed is, it can get you in big trouble.

Giggle weeds?

Mine was even easier.  The guy next to me does not see the cop across the light.  He's staring at my bike and revving his.  I am not normally evil by nature, but does this Hog guy think he even has a chance?  So I give him my best evil grin and rev mine (with stock exhaust, you can't even hear).  But it sets the stage for the unfolding comedy-drama.  The light changes and he launches with great amounts of noise (and modest speed).   I don't want to give even the suggestion of drag racing, so I don't leave, until a count of 3 or 4 seconds, then proceed like grandma.  I think the cop was watching the whole thing.  He goes lights and sirens in a Uturn to pick up the race winner.  I roll by and wave (with a thumbs up).  Grin  Well done kemosabe.

Adapt, improvise, overcome..... and have good fun doing it.

One day my award might be very expensive this time it was traffic that helped this dork out. Maybe when pressing Sport mode there should be a different warning, like - are you considering your surroundings with a siren sound!

I did the exact thing as a teen growing up on Maui. The muffler fell off my dads toyota pick up. And a cute blonde pulled up next to me. Nice camero with pipes. I had to rev the Toyota to keep it running. She thought I was challenging her. I knew there was a speed trap up ahead, I guess she did not. Same ending as yours. I did feel bad
