One of the big problems with America today is that SO MANY people either dont understand most of those bumper stickers, or worse yet, have been brought up to disagree.

Just for the record I am a Democrat, and I believe each and every one of those. Freedom is not a political belief, it's a way of life.

Excellant John! Thank you for posting them. cooldude We're 'all Army' in my family, but I have several very close Jarhead friends.

BYW - We're back home my friend. . . and we didn't hit any deer on the way back! Thanks for the 'ride time' and showing us the new breakfast place and that "Chocolate" store. Wow! Great stuff - both places, but I REALLY didn't need another excuse to pig out crazy2

Jerry, the pleasure was all mine....especially the bakery. That is a dangerous place to go near, you'll have to try out their deli when you get back down. It's as good as the stuff they sell on the bakery side.

I'm trying to track down a good welder in my area, preferably a TIG welder, so I can get that right side exhaust welded back solid.

Great post John.

Before bumper stickers were popular, I remember back to Korea 1953, where there was an Army company that was assigned the task of harassing the North Koreans by lobbing rounds up into the hills from their quad 50's mounted on half tracks.

Their motto was "Company D, Home of the half inch howitzers"

Anyone that thinks we shouldnt kill all terrorists.......that being "nice" to them will get them to "like" us...Anyone that thinks terrorists deserve the rights American Citizens are afforded under the U.S. Constitution.  Even worse.....anyone that thinks America got what she deserved on 911.....

And, please dont sit there and tell us there arent ones like that........

OK... got it... you've described the characteristics... now, which Americans do you know... or which Americans do you think you know that would like us to be "nice" to terrorists?  Or get them to "like" us?  Or exactly how many Americans do you know that think America 'got what she deserved on 911'?

I don't know any Americans in the positive for any of the questions you asked.  I see people that disagree with how to handle the problems but none that brush them off as you state.

Possibly you could name a few?

John,
There has to be someone in your area, close by, who can tack up that pipe? It would take all of 3 minutes, no?

The "plan" is to be back down by the middle of January. . . .  It sure is/was weird leaving the Fat Lady down there. Everytime I go out to the garage I look where I park her and see the empty spot  Cry Of course, the 'payback' will be riding her for 3 months in the winter. We got a sudden winter blast here last Friday and when I was out freezing in the cold, shoving the white %$#^, all I thought about was being back in Florida and riding  Grin

Saphire;
My personal favorite was also: "My kid fought in Iraq so your kid can party in college." That one really stuck out at me. Our son's unit was in Iraq twice. He was a 19 Delta. Yea, we worried all the time. . . . . but having met most of the young men in his unit, I KNEW they had each others back.
