A friend sent me this.  Pretty interesting.

THE WALL WAS BUILT BY FISHER INDUSTRIES:

Everybody in America Should See This!

If you've been following "We Build the Wall" (private donations and on privately
donated land), you're probably aware of this unbelievable project that the Army
Corp of Engineers said couldn't be done (including 315 ft. of vertical grade from
18% to 31%).  But they did it start to finish in 10 days - cost between 5 and 6 million!!

Look at what the Fisher Company got done in 10 days! No way our liberal press will
ever show this. Building this fence in those conditions with the infrastructure in place
is amazing. It proves things can happen quickly if people work together, but our
Congress doesn't want this out!!

Please sent this to as many people as you can. People need to see what can be done.

This is what can be done for National Security in just 10 Days of professional work
which is being held up by Elected Officials who have no interest in American security!

Very cool indeed.   cooldude

As much as I detest all the taxes I pay, I'm curious if the Fed offered an overpay block on the 1040 (with or without a deduction) that was guaranteed to go exclusively to build the wall, what kind of response they'd get.  I could ante up a couple hundred, and so could millions (who want a wall).  Bypass congress entirely.

(But not the kind of tax that never goes away forever, like all the other ones.)

I think you have to be some kind of Ingineeerr like Wizard to appreciate the work that was done in 10 days, but the accountant in me is sure impressed by the dollar value that was created.

Thanks for bringing it in.

I am all for building a wall and impressed with what Fisher has done.  I didn't realize the Army Engineers had established their own corporation.   Smiley

Just goes to show that if Government says the job is impossible - bid it out - private industry WILL find a way to accomplish the task.
