Very nice!
Previous owner really took amazing care of that one! With that much care and attention to detail it had to make your decision to purchase that much easier! Way to go.

Fly me out to AZ and I will be your garage slave for a week or so. Gorgeous Bike!!

I've reevaluated my jealousy levels, and while this bike is indeed GORGEOUS, I also know how cleaning and polishing a bike is anathema to me, and thus within a year it would be dirty as all get out, so I'm glad it went to a home that will wash and wax it (AND Ride the snot outta it!) and not mine, where the closest it got to a wash would be riding in the rain.....

I need to get Hubcap or Dave Ritsema to come clean her up after that trip from Wisconsin!  All our toys are garaged, but this one may need a cover.

F6Gal,

Love your new 'toy', just in time for Christmas too!

If the pipes are Corbin's 6 into 6 and you switch them out, I'd love to have first chance at them.  Please let me know what you'd want for them.

Thanks

Kraig (HDandValkRider)

I will keep you in mind when they come off.  As you can see the headers are blued; which is to be expected with those single walls.  Shipping cost to Ohio likely won't be pretty, but I'll check it out.

Actually, I'll be in Apache Junction Jan 17-21, 2020 visiting my Dad.  If the timing is right, maybe we can meet up.  Let me know.

Thanks - Kraig (HDandValkRider)

I did email this guy nearby me some 20 or so miles away last year when on craigslist but at that time under 8K was out of the question.  good for you now but maybe I should have offered 7K back then, but as said,  he was persistent at that time at 8K for sure.

I was drooling over it though big time admiring it from afar on craigslist for months not selling with a couple emails back and forth.

you done good but like said,  I would be so hesitant to driving it for I would probably scuff somewhere that fancy paint job done well.   Did you ask if he had the dragon paint scheme done locally here in WI nearby me, just curious?  I wonder who could have done such a good job since pretty much know the local area...

too bad he was not willing last year to go down to 7K or I would have stole it.

It was advertised on craigslist forever so glad someone got it even if not me....

am sure that paint job, to some, is worth 1 grand, just not that much to me although is pretty nice one of a kind.  I would be too afraid to put the first scratch in it vs. mine near 20 years old and tons of tiny scratches if get up close.

$1,000 for that paint job you have obviously not had any dealing's with painters. With the air brush and paint I'd make a guess $2,500 - $3,000.... Beautiful bike Connie  cooldude

You're absolutely right on the money regarding a good paint job cost. $1000 won't cut it these days. That's some serious prep work , airbrush skills and several clear coats.
That's a great immaculate looking machine. Congratulations

Beautiful Bike and outstanding paint.

I'm glad someone that will take care of it got it.   It's too good looking for someone like me.    My bike gets a wash several times a year but not nearly enough to be considered in that class.   Detailing is simply not in my skill set.   Enjoy it, ride it and show it often.   It will win many awards.

I love how they did the inside of the fairing and the speaker pods on the trunk. Did they leave the “texture” on them, or was it sanded down beforehand ?

The texture is still there, but with the clear coat, not as defined as before the paint.

like said,  cost to do and what it is worth to buy afterwards is 2 different things.  Yah, cost to do is 3K or whatever but to find someone to pay 2-3K more just for a special paint job is probably not going to happen too often, thus I said 'worth' 1K to someone to buy after done.

Connie, your bike is gorgeous.

Any custom painter that puts out work like that is not cheap. The paint job probably cost more that most interstates sell for these days.
I saw it advertised, unfortunately I had just bought a low mile interstate, and I can't afford a divorce, so I never went to look at it.

Hey F6Gal (Connie),

I send you an email last Friday, asking more details about your pipes.  Did you receive it?  If not, I can send it again.
